My mom and I were down The Cape in Hyannis a little while ago and had a pretty nice meal at Spanky's Clam Shack down there. Their clam chowder was the BEST I have ever had, and I have had a lot of chowder. It was creamy, but not too thick and it was very smooth. Sometimes, chowder can be almost metallic tasting? I guess you could call it. But this chowder was just phenomenal. It was actually better than my meal.

Speaking of the meal, I got a lobster casserole, which was about $23. It was good, but it was served with corn on the cob (good) and 2 boiled red potatoes, which were ok. I would have preferred mashed, which they didn't have, but it was supposed to be traditional New England style, so that's the reason for the boiled I suppose. The casserole itself was good, but a little smaller than other casseroles I've had for less money.

Basically, the chowder was the star of the dinner, although the rest of it wasn't bad. Atmosphere was nice too. There was a singer there also playing guitar, so that was a nice touch.
